Are you using Freecycle yet?

from the Freecycle website

Freecycle is a community based email group for giving and receiving free stuff. When you sign up, you start getting e-mails from the group. Any one email will either be an OFFER, WANTED, or TAKEN.
OFFERs are postings from other people in your community that have something they want to get rid of for free. Interested recipients will email the poster giving a pickup time. The poster will then reply to one person telling them they can have the item. The poster can either leave the item outside during the recipient's desired pick up time, or they can have the recipient come up to the door and do the exchange face-to-face.
TAKENs are posted by people who have listed OFFERs after the item has been spoken for. It's always important to check the Taken e-mails for the item you are going to request before you do so, because it can be frustrating getting emails about an item a week after it left your house.
WANTEDs are posted by people who are looking specifically for something. If you see a Wanted ad, and are looking to get rid of whatever they are asking for, email the poster telling them what you have, and they will then reply with a pick up time.

I LOVE Freecycle. It can save you so much money, and is easier than using Craigslist's free section. The people are so amazing, and I'm sure you'll make some new friends by joining your local freecycle.
